Celebrate Ohio's hot new online video music series, brought to you by in partnership with Miller Lite. Three great bands. Prizes. Giveways. And more!

"A brand of garage pop that merges elements of indie rock, blues and new wave that's quite melodic and hypnotizing."

Through high school friendships, two Craig's List ads (Musicians Wanted, not Missed Connections), and a few years of trial and error, OTTAWA was formed in 2014. Their unique sound is a result of the band's diverse influences, including The Killers, Oasis, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Rush & so much more.

The band recently wrapped up a long studio session in Atlanta with producer Matt Goldman (Glow in the Dark Studios), and it is currently putting the finishing touches on new music which they plan to release this summer (June 2018).

A product of the ever-growing Columbus, OH music scene, the psychedelic pop infused 4-piece Captain Kidd returns after the release of their sophomore EP “Good Life”. Propelled by the success of their single “Freaky Love,” Captain Kidd’s evolution has taken them from the dive clubs of northeast and central Ohio, to supporting the likes of Glass Animals, Capital Cities, Wiz Khalifa, and Griz at some of the country’s premier music festivals.

Characterized by spacey synths blended with sultry vocals, the band has captured the attention of listeners from New York to New Zealand. This dynamic mixture of song writing elements has cultivated a sound that has been described as “fresh,” “dance-able,” and “celestial.” The band is set to release their first full-length album, expected Spring 2018.
Polars is an indie/art rock band based in Cleveland, Ohio. Polars is anchored by songwriters Justin Miller and Kurt Eyman who independently recorded the groups debut EP, Into the Pines (2015), in a home studio located just off the shores of Lake Erie.

In 2017, the group began the writing process for its debut LP. Miller and Eyman teamed up with local orchestrator/composer, Etienne Massicotte, to begin fleshing out the blueprints for what would become an intricate 10 song album, eventually titled, Native Carbon Bloom.

In an effort to challenge themselves creatively, and logistically, the band decided to write without limits. This process resulted in a collection of detailed compositions, which utilize a wide array of instrumentation, including various string, brass, and woodwind orchestral arrangements. The instrumentation is complimented further by intricate synth, guitar, and rhythmic passages, weaving in and out of frame.

Native Carbon Bloom is scheduled to be released in January 2019. The lead single, Parties in Monochrome, was released on November 2nd, 2018.
