Muamin Collective
Muamin Collective
Muamin Collective started with a concept - rapid fire critical thought over beats. Simple? Not actually as easy as it is said, but over the last 8 years what started as a concept, has become praxis. Aaron "aLIVE" Snorton, and Josiah "ZiON" Quarles have made a master work. What began with their critically acclaimed Industry Standard, continued with wHereMYpeoples@ and has culminated in WORLD B. FREE, the perfect summer spin, a drive thru nostalgia and future. It is Astro Black, relevant, smart, brash, and funky. The mix is sublime, thanks to their partner in crime Ereact - who brings us their vision clear and bumping.

The two were childhood friends growing up on Cleveland's east side banging on tables and free-styling late into the night. The two lost touch, but fate would reconnect them years later at a party held by mutual friend and Muamin Co-founder R.A Washington's studio space. The two confided that they were now totally consumed by music, and within a month found themselves camped out with an SU 700, a pen and a pad. The rest is history . . . or at least discography.

A Muamin live show is all about energy, chemistry, and catalogue. With over 50 songs to pull from, and endless supply of beats to remix and rejuvenate older songs, each show is fresh and unique; connecting to audiences in an organic way that cannot be digitized. After opening for the likes of Pete rock, Kool Keith, Little Brother, Ratatat, J-Live, De La Soul, and headlining many more, the trio are veterans of the stage; giving you all they've got, for all they've got.
